Subject: War Machine
Scale: 1/8
Manufacturer: Moebius Models
In box review and quick build. Sorry about some of the blurry pictures!
The box compared to Dragon's 1/9th scale Iron Man model kit box.
A peek inside shows how crammed the sprues in the box.
Bags o' sprues laid out
White is the choice of mold for the base and the 'glowing' parts.
Closer look at the base. The edges look rough and need clean up.
Most runners came in dark blue-grey colour.
Sorry for the blurry photo!
Close up of the parts. Some flashing on the sprue gate are evident - like seen here on the chin of the face plate.
Details are sharp and nice.
Individual fingers!
Some of the minute details
For space saving purpose(I think!) the torso parts came as loose parts.
En detail.
The runner which consists of parts for feet, shoulder pads and one of the arm cannon.
Details on the cannon
More weapon parts
The gattling gun.Personally, I prefer each barrels to be separate.
The forearm armor piece
Thighs and arms
Closer look on the details of the thigh parts.
Arms
The lower leg parts
One of the part cameloose so I test them to see how they fit.
Again - sharp details.
Instruction manual - 12 pages in black and white.
Each page is divided into 2 column: Text and pictorial.
The gattling gun assembly.
I'm not too keen on how the ammo belt assembly.
A quick build
The parts fit very well. Assembly is relatively easy. Take it easy when assembling the neck to the torso. It's a tight fit!
Also, pay extra attention when assembling the feet to the ankle. Again, a tight fit here.
I'm a bit skeptical on the leg assembly since the 'pegs' are located on the inside of the butt.
