Continuing my efforts to line and decal my previously built RGs. Here is the Zeta Gundam.
The design of the kit is ingenious, enabling you to switch from Gundam mode to Wave Rider mode, but the actual process is extremely fiddly. Haven't had the courage to try the transformation yet.
Chest parts fit is problematic. The yellow vents in particular don't stay on very well and they keep popping out, will probably glue them later. Also had to break one of the plastic lugs on the left side because of fit issues so the two blue parts on the left side keep coming apart.
Left and right skirt pieces keep popping out as the ball joint is too loose.
Make sure you push the rear skirts into their sockets all the way, otherwise they'll keep popping out as well.
The gold stickers don't have very strong adhesive, I had trouble making them conform to the panel depressions. Probably gold marker would work better.
Stickers are mostly ok but in some places the excess will not conform to the countours of the body. Will go back and use a knife to remove them later.
Still undecided on top coat because I don't much like sprays and I'm worried that it would jam the articulation (RG has very tight tolerances).
Still, I love the look and the crazy detail in such a small scale.
