Sharing time! ;D First of all, I would like to apologize for posting lots of pictures in a row in this thread, and the rather long-winded sharing..
So let's begin the story:
Fujimi has done a very good job on this Scuderia, as compared to the previous release of other Ferrari F430 kits… new tooling, means better fitting and more precise and detailed molding can be expected… at least, the kit comes with an engine block that you can work on, not like the snap-fitting engine cover with no engine block, which can be seen in earlier F430 kits…
decal is not of the best quality, as it is too thin and breaks easily while applying the decal, so hobby design decal is recommended.. but I had some problems with the HD decal too, in which it shrinks and wrinkles can be seen around the decal area after clear coat…
fitting wise, all part fits perfectly except the left side skirt, which leave me a big gap when I attached it to the body after everything is done…
overall it’s a nice kit to build, and pretty nice looking Ferrari too…
here’s the list of works I did for the car: Base kit: Fujimi Ferrari 430 Scuderia Aftermarket accessories: Hobby Design Scuderia decal, A+ Club Scuderia Metal Transfer, Hobby Design Ferrari Metal Transfer, Tuner Model Factory PE rivets hex, Carbon Fiber Decal from RSS Hobby, Seat Belt Clothes, Hobby design PE Seat Belt and Harness. Color: Tamiya TS-47 Chrome Yellow Primer: Mr. Surfacer 1200, Mr. Surface White 1000. Clear Coat: Mr. Hobby Super Clear. Details added: Scratch build signal lights, rear 3rd brake light, carbon fiber steering wheel & pedal shifter, carbon fiber engine cover, wiring on the engine, simulated carbon ceramic disc brake and fabric added to the head room.
Not the best build of course, as this car has been going through from hero to zero when I have to strip the paint down to zero and start all over again…there are some flaws if you see it closely so please feel free to comment…
