Hi All,
I have Mr Hobby Procon boy brush, recently after i let go the trigger, the air still seems to flow some times, I need to press it couple of more times to stop the air flow. I think either the airvalue or the oring has problems.
How do I replace the oring in my airbrush? How do i fix the air valve? or is there somewhere i can get a replacement part?
Thank you

Probably you need to take out the trigger parts, needle, spray tip and head for a thorough cleaning. There might some leftover paint probably stuck in between. Clean everything and pour a decent amount of thinner into the cup and respray the thing again for cleaning purpose. Should do the tricks.

Hi Thanks for the reply. Yeah i did thorough cleaning, taking out the trigger and all. But I know its the part the springs back up and prevents air from coming in from the host. I unscrewed it from the AB and pressed it manually, sometimes it springs up sometimes it does not... and thats when the air keeps flowing.... Do I need to dissemble the inside of the spring part? dunno how to open it. thank you

Literally as for myself, i dismantle everything even the hand piece trigger valve dip in a thinner container and wipe it with a cloth once in a month if it is frequently used. Normally, we dun not suggest to dismantle every single parts cos it might affect certain quality of airflow/pressure. Judging by your statement, all i can said maybe there's still some paint or primer paint stuck in between unreachable area. If the problem is what you stated, i'm afraid that thaere's quite difficult to find such refine spare parts either o-ring nor the spring. Last resource, try to dip those unreachable areas with thinner for a certain time and repeat the same cleaning process. hope it works for you.

i m using a procon boy WA PS-269(0.3mm) hand piece too, i have that problem too. Basically as your mentioned, i think it's nothing to do with the o-ring. U check carefully, it's the trigger part has become no smooth enough, most likely to be caused by residue of paints n other stuff. Seriously i oso dun know how to deal with it permemnantly. If u want really quick solve of the problem... for awhile.. .... usually i drop a drop or two of hobby thinner at the trigger part n it just pop up quickily. well, it works for like 10 or 15 minutes.... i used to drop some WD-40... it works, but also not for long.....

Not sure whether it is the solution for your problem. Please try to drop few drop of oil into the push lever and it should be ok. I think it is due to excessive cleaning using thinner which cause the mechanical trigger becoming rough. Some parts of the AB needs lubs too. Use the sewing machine oil and drop two to three drops.

I think all the hand piece will have the problem, be it branded, be in only use in water color. I own a few hand pieces and I have this little habit after I clean up the airbrush. You will need a oil for sewing machine, personally I use Singer. Drip a few drop of the oil on a cotton bud, then rub it on the metal part of the trigger, where it connect to the O-Ring, and of course the O-Ring itself.
You dont really need to wet the cotton bud with the oil, but you just need a little bit of them. This is to sure that you will have thin film of the oil between two part.
Hope this can help.

it sounds like the o-ring in the air valve / trigger damaged by the thinner or solvent. well, i don't have the problem yet but i'm kind of worry of that problem to my ABs also.
Do not clean the parts that contain o-rings which is not thinner/solvent resistant. use the silicon free grease instead. WD40 contains thinner/solvent, don't use it. if u have to clean or wash the parts then use the soap water should be ok, then lube it with the grease.
hopefully i'm not too wrong here. please do not feel hesitate to let me know if i'm wrong.
