Hobbylink.tv and HLJ organized a competition called Playing With Plamo Modeling Competition 2013 from 26th of August, 2013 through 1st of January, 2014. Here's my entry for the contest. Since I got some ‘leftovers’ from my other builds, I figured why not use the spares rather than let them collecting dust.So I pull out my Tamiya’s Livestock set and some crates from Academy’s AFV Miniature Accessories set for this project which I will call “Which Comes First: Chicken Or Egg?”. "Well whaddaya know ~ A EGG!" ~ Foghorn Leghorn . That’s right, I’m using egg as part of this project. Well, just the shell actually . Clean it up, remove the membrane and gave it a good coat of clear. Then I melt some wax and pour it into the shell. After the wax set and dried, I cover it with a layer of 2-part epoxy, a couple of pebbles are embedded to give some variety of the groundwork. Then, I did a composition test of the rooster and hens. Painted the groundwork with Tamiya Diorama Texture Paint (Soil Effect) and lightly airbrush some highlights. Some model grass are also thrown in for more variety of texture.
