Yeah, look at the name, it sounds like it's some fast car.... well, it's. 60years ago.....
*****************************************************************************************************************************
The two main thing i would like to share:
1. Water Slide decal n metal transfer.
Due to its age, not the real car's production, but the model kit, ALL decals cracked. Basically the back glue was expired, not gluing at all, the the front film is cracking into small pieces.
Hence i was trying a product by microscale, a decal saver. Just apply a thin layer of the liquid onto the decal, and it forms a layer of thin film to hold the decal together.
However, for those bigger size decal, the film still have one problem: it curl upright especially the glue is not working anymore. Hence lots of mark setter was used
Metal transfer is absolutely no hope. everything just cracked n falls apart.
2. Aclad II chrome. This was the 1st time i experience with Aclad II's chrome. Again, same experience with the magna 50, Tamiya's chrome is extremely nice; but if u wanna wash it, it's pretty tough.
The metal grill are all in alclad's, because those r all in small sizes, it proof to be not much of a problem. As compared to the original chrom on 3D parts, like the wiper, i think paint chrome looks more natural.
Ok Beige was the in color by then. As for the number "92" it was originally white in color. Now, the color is mainly due to waterslide decal's yellowish.
Overall, this is a project with lots of experiment n .... pain.... Not the best i have done, but definitely something i wont regret doing.
C&C welcome shoot pls!
