This build if for a local compe/GB at MP. Its a 1/16 Unterscharfuhrer figure from Dragon. Will just modify it to look a bit more steam punk-ish/post apocalyptic looking soldier. Got the idea from the zombie Nazis (Sucker Punch) and Francesco Benedettini's "Cyborg Wars" builds. This is my first figure build, so im trying to do some reading on how to build and paint these type of kits. Box Contents: 1 big and 3 small runners and a base (my cup of tea, only a few parts ;D ) Mock assembly using sticky tack after removal of nub marks and miles of mold lines. till next update.

Thanks guys for looking and showing support. ;D Phoon & Kriz: will do my best to finish and give justice to it somehow. Guitarist: same here. LOL actually Im still looking for tutorials on painting this kinds of figs. But I plan to use acrylics, I heard its a bit forgiving. Jinn: are you kidding me? I still cant stop drooling on your Trollblood Wagon. And honestly I think I'll base my approach on how you guys paint your miniatures. ;D Update: For sculpting the mask, Tamiya Epoxy Putty and some Kotobukiya MSG's. And the result.... I had a hard time doing this since im not very good at sculpting, its a bit sloppy but the good thing is im looking for a worn-out look, so I still ended up with my preferred texture/finish. I also added some armors on the shoulders, elbows, knees and heels (still using Epoxy Putty). For the base, just a simple cut and scribe using a 1.5mm plastic sheet to simulate a brick floor. I got the idea from Julius. ;D This is "him" right now. Also replaced the right hand with a manipulator from my HGUC Asshimar. Primed and sanded for errors. Will resume 2nd priming then the not-so-sure-how-painting starts.

Update on the painting stage (had a hard time on this one LOL). Since im not that sure on how to tackle the painting stage, I decided to apply a general acrylic wash first to raise the details and for easier handbrushing. here's the zombie-ish skin tone result. must admit its a trial and error. I used acrylics as base then blending using oils. here's the failed attempt doing shading with acrylics, imitated how you guys paint your minis but for some reason i cant blend the tones like you guys do or maybe im really doing something wrong. So as usual I resorted to oils which is a more familiar medium. here's the result after blending with oils and painting all the details. almost done, just a bit of retouching on some parts. what you guys think? do i get a passing mark or failed in handbrushing figs? LOL ;D

Oil medium is much forgiving and easier to handle. Looks good on the uniform bro........other than that can't comment much till you completed everything. Will camp here for sure! ;D
