Subject: M61A5 Main Battle Tank "Semovente" Phantom Element Manufacturer: Bandai - UC Hardgraph series Scale: 1/35th Idea: WWII "What-if" background and lean towards the German side - because the design of the tank, to me, has modern German armor feel to it. Road wheels assembled. Nicked some rubbers off the road wheels. Might've went overboard with it! The twin barrel gun. In my haste, I accidentally assembled the guns upside down! By the time I realize the mistake, the glue has set. Solution: cut the barrels and reposition them correctly. Later I will cover this area with tarp or something like that . Try to include this figure set. Composition test - note the sheer size of the tank! Close up. Made the barrel sleeve with Bondite 2 part epoxy putty. Road wheels sanded down to remove the parting line. Just like The Rolling Stone's song, "Paint It Black". Spent 2 hours to cover up the whole tank. Hand is itchy to modify this tank. Ideas for enhancement came rushing in. One of it is to change the gun on the turret hatch. I use Stryker's Remote Weapon System (RWS) by AFV Club. A bit of modification is required to install this RWS housing. Looks good enough. Spray black gray all over the tank made a simple camo using light gray. Should I add third color? Hmmm.... if I'm going to use NATO color scheme, I have to add olive green. The 'bakul' looks empty, so I will tarp rolls dan bags. Maybe later I'll add some jerry cans.

Thanks, Rayloke . Guest star on this tank: an EOD Tactical robot. Maybe it will 'lepak' on the turret

Thanks, mechaion . This is a huge tank so a lot of stowage is needed to make it more realistic. So far I've used one Tamiya Allied Forces Stowage set, 3 packets of resin bags and stowage (bought from Hobby HQ @ RM10 - RM15 each) and some spares from my other builds. There will be a German heavy bike included in this build .

Base created but unfortunately it suffer a slight warp . On with composition test. The Red Skull on both side are spare decals from Ma.K. A scout getting his orders from the officer. Sorry about the blurry pictures. Cameraman's sleepy . Tonight's agenda: Paint groundwork. Paint figures. Topcoat the tank followed with light weathering Hopefully can kawtim

nice WIP, gambateh! the base is created by sand or wat? cant see clearly..hehe... For the base, I use mixture of plaster + sand + white glue + water. The sand are from Pantai Bachok, Kelantan . This build is now can be considered as complete. Again, I need to improve my figure painting skill. There are a lot of empty space in this 'diorama' - the most prominent one is in front of the tank. Maybe I'll throw in some oil drums later . Enjoy the pix! Comments and critics are welcomed.
