Hi,
Here is a very brief WIP which I am doing. Nothing fancy or special and learn something new in this Sinanju and hope to share it too. Bought this kit few months ago before I learn how to air brush so thinking titanium finish is cool, I really regret now. There are some first time techniques which I am encountered when assembling this Sinanju.
1. Apply metal decals. It is really difficult to apply given the stiffness of the decals. I have to use the superglue to do it which causing a lot of mess and frustration. Hope this is the last time to do it. The end result is ok.
2. First time using enamel reverse wash on the Sinanju head. Not as difficult as I would think and it is fun to wash it. The result is ok and the gold can be better. Please see the reverse wash on the Sinanju Head
3. Painted the internal frame only with black and silver. What I learnt is after sprayed with silver, I should seal it with top coat. Now my hand is full of silver pigment whenever touch it.
4. The nub marks are clearly visible because this is a SInanju titanium finish hence no choice to just cut it and assembly. It is good to have just snap fit once in a while.
5. Also learn how to cover seam line but failed totally which cost me two bazookas. Lesson leant is to use proper tool like toothpick or spatula when using it. I should also thin it with thinner for easy apply.
6. The shining red on the Sinanju head is using Gaia Primer Black + Mr Color Pearl X08 + Gaia Clear Red.
Here are the pictures and hope to share. The pictures are up more after apply the rest of the decals.
Thank you.
Initial assembly mess.
The Sinanju head is fully painted by me using pearl and clear red. Also reverse wash with enamel paint. I should use enamel gloss black instead of flat. Lesson learnt.
