Hello everyone, I'm going for short trip with my wife to Bangkok at the end of the month. I was just wondering if anyone has some info on where the model shops are so I can go take a look while my wife isn't looking or when I have a chance to sneak away while she isn't paying attention. Any model shops would be fine but I'm more interested in garage kits and anime/super hero resin figures. If anyone has any shopping info to share, it would definitely be greatly appreciated.

You can pm Chris aka Kirin as he's half of the local there. Heard that BKK is rather quite expensive of getting models.....

Hi Kiyda, Just saw this post today, pardon me for my late reply As mentioned by Phoon, Modelling and Hobby stuff are considered "Luxury" hobby here in Bangkok, for almost two years I stay in BKK, I only bought some table top gaming miniatures, to find what I want for military and sci-fi, I only get it when I travel to HK. If you are looking for some rare stuff or garage kit, there is only two place, Pirom plaza and Cha-tuchak. Pirom Plaza is actually a located near China Town, Yau Waa-Lah, in Thai. You can just jump into any cab, I'm very sure most of the cab-driver know this location. While this Cha-tu-chak night market is a night bazaar and you can reach there by the BTS Skytrain, last and final termial. Trust me, gundam kit and model kit here is really expensive, you wouldnt look at the kit twice here unless there is something you want and extremely rare. And, beware of pick-pocket if you are going to the above mentioned place. Happy Hunting and enjoy your vacation.
