Or it can be thought as just came out of a car wash, but the road back to town is full of dirt, hence the dirty tyre. Good effort in building your first kit, must say your first kit is way much better than mine. Well done!!!

Rennyd - yes that is exactly it. you're a genius.
Rayloke - Yes Bare Metal Foil. Before I even bought it, I am did numerous research on it over the www including YouTube videos. One of the videos by this American says it's the holy grail in modelling, if you can master BMF then you can master anything in scale modelling. My take is it wasn't as scary as that video has described it to be. Though I did waste a few strips of it in the beginning.
It is very thin and tears quite easily but not as easily as water slide decals. Doing the 1st Window frame was quite a challenge. definitely after 2 windows you need to rest your eyes as it strains your eyes pretty badly as it is really micro the lines. I bought 3 variants of the BMF. Chrome, Ultra bright chrome and black chrome. Has yet to try the ultra bright chrome. The chrome and black chrome handles differently. I find that the black chrome is much harder to handle as I find it to be thicker and the black on it seems to come out easily for example if you accidentally scratch it. Removing it from the adhesive backing is also a pain in the assignment as if you're not careful it curls up and sticks to itself.
I did not encounter it with the chrome one. Surface must be smooth as the BMF is very thin. Any imperfection will show through it and it will not stick properly to a rough surface. Also another problem is when installing the Window glass. The mini windows pushes the BMF out and kinda crumpled it so that is a problem I can't think of any way to solve.
The number plate is weathered using cement. Apply and use the brush to create tearing and smearing.
Thx for the constructive comments. Will head to ICW to share my work and findings more elaborately when I'm back from holiday Thx.

I really like the dirt on the tyres, and the BMF you used on the window frame seems to have the added effect of making it look like tiny dents and scratches in the chrome frame... Which is actually pretty good! The rear chrome wheel arch looks like its been through a bit of damage too. Happy mistakes? Very cool.
