Hi, Completed my Gundam recently and thinking to venture in military. I have been thinking to make one myself using acrylic paints as seen in youtube so managed to get myself a few AK and Tamiya acrylic paints. I bought the 1/35 Meng 617 few months ago and wanted to build one myself. It is a weird looking minesweeper vehicle and my first tank too! From this build, I wanted to try the following 1. Chipping 2. Rusting 3. Weathering like streaking filter, washes and fading 4. Preshading Panzer Grey and other layers Here is my WIP and hope to get some feedback. Here is the picture of the box.
Bought the Windex to thin my acrylic paint. It is better than water because amonia and fast dry too.
Build and minimum putty seam line. Lost a few very small hooks : ( . Not easy to built.
Few parts to spray versus my usual Gundam parts! Spray with Gaia Oxide Red as base. Sponge technique using enamel Hull Red Sponge using other acrylic rust color from AK Filtering to unify the colour using Winston Oil Brown Time to chip using AK chipping effect. Mist coat with Tamiya white Time to chip using warm water and stiff brush Wash with Rust from AK Work doesn't end here. Still need a lot of work to create more realistic rust here so will continue next week. Thanks for viewing.
