Finally finished my very first Resin kit!
The story of this build goes way back to one of my trips to Japan to attend the Wonder Festival 2012 exhibition with Ray, KY, Julius and Zapzhai Andy. The Wonder Festival is a one-day convention for Plastic model hobbyists, where kit makers and other enthusiasts sell resin garage kits of their own making to the public. These kits are often those of anime girls, monsters or mecha and can be quite expensive usually costing 2000 yen and above for a small kit. However the price is worth its craftmanship as these kits are artisanally made; sculpted and casted in resin by the kit makers themselves.
Unfortunately there can be some production issues with these kits like excessive flash or persistent air bubbles caused by improper casting which I had to deal, and ultimately give up on this build...

Used a cheapo RM 5 block of wood base from Daisho

The core is a normal SAFS hitched to an immense backpack like the GP03D Dendrobium. That's is probably what attracted me to the design.

Air holes are an immense problem with the kit. Due to defects in the casting process, they accumulated in an orbit around the casting edges and you will need to fill each and every one with superglue before sanding it down. Worse still they lurk deep in the kit so the more you sand the more appear.... At the end I just gave up lol.
