Hi my fellow members. Allow me to share my humble works again of 'MA.K'! ;D This time my finishing would be a total different style! ( beside calling it a technique! ) Instead applying heavy washes or chipping effect, I give it a shot by portraying it as an illustration painting in 3D subject. Brush strokes, light washes and tone blending with solely on Lacquer paint were my main medium. To make things more interesting, I ventured into snake skin color camo ( vibrant colors) and applying a clear coat in manual hand-painting. Surprisingly I loved the end-results and it was fun to handpaint the whole entire kit! Those who never try before, I would encourage it without any hesitation. Not as good as Jap modelers killer finishing but I'm quite satisfied with it as shown below:- Thanks for dropping in.......

Yuen, I think images will clear the midst out of your question. Honestly, photo shooting can be very deceiving in our very own eyes. As shown below, it can tells the difference between flat and gloss finishing which can enhance your base color. And I did learned a new knowledge from a very experience Ma.K modeller pertaining in 'gloss-touche' gimmick. Hence, without a doubt, I put an experiment on this project and see the outcome. Honestly, it does give me a 'gasp' expression during the gloss process with a little mixture of some clear blue. Genova / Hellblack - Thanks for your 'awesome' expression!

damm awesome hand painting work there phoon ... blending colors with lacquer is no joke 1 small step u'll ruin ur undercoat color ....
for the gloss finish i can understand the blue color really stands out more ..... but the reflection really make it look weird ... wat i mean here is paint chipping and weather doesn't mix well with gloss ....

zero1st - yup, couldn't agree no more on the mixture of gloss and chipping parts. It's kinda little drawback back for me but guess it's a 'Go' for me somehow. Perhaps if time allow, I will make an effort for another YC session, tag along this kit and discuss how to improve further on.......what you say bro? jinn- Master, its good to have a different taste once in a blue moon. ;D ;D ;D. and my gratitude for your 'Onzz' comment....lol!!!! ;D ;D ;D

TBH, I think the matt color looks better .... sorry, for splashing cold water (that is the best I do)
The display with the semi transparent ring is a bit... err...hindering the focus of the subject.
Nevertheless, I really like the hand painting style of the camo

Incredible technique; The effects and color for both are completely different, even if they are the same thing! And as Zero1st pointed out too, much props to your skill on pulling off the handpaint without a hitch.
I do have to agree with Neo, I prefer the flat version too. Mak's natural colors, those! ;D
