Excellent weathered finish bro !! one small picky comments maybe a layer of wash for streak effects & some pigment around the rust ... to make it even dirtier will be perfect...

lovely kit!
i agree with julius, from the photo, the border between the surface paint n underneath metal/rust is a little too contrast. These r the places where most dirt n rust powder will hide. Hence adding some pigment or pastel would definitely make it more realistic.
Another opinion about hairspray n salt: I know this project is more of a testing on this technique, as for future, u can consider having a little more control on the paint chipping. Yes, hairspray n salt is mainly to have the randomness. However, if u want slightly more control, u can try using some hair gel too, especially for places u absolutely want to chip off the paint, like those parts with heavy contact with foreign objects. Like the hatch, the lower feet etc. unlike gundam, 1/20 scale, u can actually show off rust in 3D too. Just a bit of putty to create the rough surface.
Just my two cents worth.
This is overall a very nicely done kit. Just a little bit here n there will definitely level up the finishing.

Thanks all for the meaningful comments. I will look into it and add more rusty effect and others into it. Yes, this is my first time and learn how to do the rust effect on the Scopedog. It is a very good kit especially the size. I think I am yet to master all these techniques together and hope I can master all these in my next few favorite kits.
Thanks.

Vintage kits are those old ones produced like 20 years ago. There used to be a lot of Votoms kits produced back in the 80's and I was curious if this was one of them.

No, it is not Vintage kit. It is from Votoms. I guess it is new. Why?

Some modellers liked vintage kits, say example like Genosider. I like vintage kits too...kinda gives us some nostalgic moment while building it.......childhood memory...and so forth.....

im not a weathering expert but from my view it looks nice!i have to agree on the guys have said, one thing..how come the whole kit is weathered and chip but the markings/decals are still intact?some slight scratches or discoloration would help ..i guess.
goodluck!

Hahahhah. I think the same too about the decal. My kung fu not there yet so just leave the decal as it is now. I guess this still very new to me since just learn how to achieve this effect. The skill will improve slowly.
Hope to see better weathering in next few kits. Thx
