Hi guys!! Second completed work thread here on pla zone, this time sharing my mid year entry, an Iron Man inspired titus. no doubt, this was the pose i had intended to do. main challenge to me was to get the hot rod red, and also in creating a convincing looking base, with cracks to show the impact of the landing. all in all, took me under a month to complete this project, with the kit basically just being a oob finish. made a small mod on the backpack, as i really dont like the spoiler on the back, and also think that the backpack sticks out too much, so it was shortened. without further ado, here are the pics! back view side view few shots up close some on the ground work overall foot impact crater and shattered ground any C&C for further improvement is always welcome

Very nice paint job! Imagine if you put the extra effort to install an LED light unit in the chest like Iron man himself! Could you tell or explain how did you make the base? And make the cracks?

Nice on gloss & metallic finish! Clean & great finish! Keep up your gunpla spirit!
Ok, here is some of my view or opinions~ The kit overall is very well finish, just careful on the dio in future. the left leg have some effect like pressing into the ground, by the effect u apply mean is 'soft' land... so on soft land u can't make the 'crack' effect with the punch! The crack effect/surface or the clip off peaces should be in sharp edge. (just my view)

thanks guys! derpyheart: the base is actually made of cork. got it from ikea- something like a cork coaster. hope you get what i mean =/ cork itself is really soft, so i just drew the cracks on it, then cut it using my olfa blade. the points of impact on the hand, leg and knee are a mix of the cut up cork, and plastic shavings from the kit. mixed with white glue, and just allowed to set. after that, a thin layer of cement to cover everything to get rid of the cork's texture. followed by painting, drybrushing and some pigments to highlight a few parts. jeff: thanks for the input. now that you mention it, it makes sense. initially thought of having some pla-plate sticking out at odd angles, but didn't know how to implement it. so in the end , took the easy way out =/ will keep that in mind next time i'm doing a dio! thanks
