I am using Mr Color thined with thinner for both the airbrushed color and hand painted color. Am I supposed to top coat the sprayed kit before I hand paint touched up?? Pls help

when you say you want to touch up, is it really "touch" up or make up (means kaw kaw)..
most likely the thinner in your brush dissolved all the earlier airbrushed color.. Airbrush = thin layer Handpaint = thicker layer
You can touch up but not paint over airbrushed area.. Make sure your brush is not dripping wet to minize the effect. Or you can use acrylic over Mr. Color (e.g. gunze sangyo, Tamiya)

Touch up means to cover and highlight areas that cannot be get to by AB or masking. Acrylic meaning water based? Or thin with water rather than thinner? Acrylic art paint or poster color from art shop ok?

Would suggest you to used hobby paint acrylic instead of artist acrylic due to its extensive filler content. Too much filler in paint means the chances of leaving brush strokes are tremendous high to your finish kits.

When you touch up those area with Mr. Color.. the paint should only minimal.. you can't be putting the same amount of paint like when you are brush painting. So little paint that when the paint touches the touch up area, it should have half dried. If the amount of paint get into that area is still wet, chances are the thinner already spread and damaged the airbrushed paint earlier. Hope you get what I mean.

Yup. Know what you mean. I tried doing something like enamel wash with tons of paint thinned thoroughly. I guess the thinner content is too much!! So guess it should be like a semi-dry brushing technique?
If I were to use acrylic paint thinned with water will the sprayed paint still be washed away since there is no thinner involved? Will tried it out and let all know the outcome

Theoretically no effect. But then, acrylic paint and lacquer would normally dried up with different color. you may want to use back original color for touch up. Minimal paint and minimal thinner. Not too thick as this will coz bad brush mark.. not too thin as the thinner will attack the painted layer. Yes, it's best to try yourself and get the feel of it. It should work.
