This is not exactly an everyone-will-know series, but it has its followers. From manga to anime to games.
Sakura Wars 3 - KobuF
Ok, just before the photos, here's a little clip for your entertainment: (Oh, don't mind the advertisement besides, it's set there by proboards)
(Hoho, really, seems like the villain design is so much better.)

This is a injection plastic kit produced by Wave. Ok as usual, pictures first, talk later.

Some sharing on the built:
- This is a Wave's kit, more than 10 years ago (2002). Overall there is no big problem in fitting nor construction design. Articulation is nothing compare to Bandai's but i have no complain on that . The overall design in 3D (real life object) is pretty and close to the original artist's. Part separation is nicely done too.
- Probably the only complain i have for this kit is the molding n plastic quality. First, there are quite a number of mold lines n sink holes. the height needed to be covered for the mold line is not that hugh. Just a little careful sanding n putty will do. The killer is the sink hole. Besides somepart separation and small amount of detailing, most of the time i spent in preparation before air brushing is just tackling these two problems. All over the everywhere.
- Plastic quality. There r a few parts of soft rubber, which are visible; Not complaining about that though. The main killer is the PS plastic. Some parts that looks like solid piece of plastic, i realised actually are hollow inside; like a big bubble. Worse, because i m doing a gloss finish for this kit which i need to have a few layer of wet coat with retarder, i realise the plastic somehow react too quickly to it n deform. At first, when I was spraying, I saw quite a number of sink holes, I though I have had missed them out during the preparation work. Until, at one spot, a real hole form! It's like the plastic is so thin n when thinner sits on top, it just melt.....
- Was trying to do a hi gloss finish. Thinking of doing compounding as the last stage but gave up. Too lazy Anyway, I realised me spraying hi-gloss is getting rusty..... way below my expectation.
- Other than that, use quite a number of metal parts. Really working hard to finish my stash of metal parts.... huhu
- Mistake: part of the main decal (the skeleton) broken. Adjusted the position, underestimated the reaction of Wave's decal to mark setter (because the decal's adhesive agent is not working well due to aged).... T.T
- again, mesmerized by Gunze's Super Metallic series....
Ok... that's it for now. Not a perfect project, barely pass interms of finishing, but hell yeah, i had fun n that's enough.
C & C welcome.
