This is what happens few months ago, I bought a stack of MGs from an X- colleague whom are getting rid of his Gunpla collection, all already build and snap fit, all this for a price of RM75, a big catch that I cannot resists. The box I wanted the most was the MG FAZZ, as I always wanted to build a FAZZ but hardly commit myself to getting the kit until now, After my fail attempt to have my Gundam unicorn complete for the 2013 GBWC, I decided to put the Unicorn aside as I am still struggling to solve some build issues, In the mean time I decided to do a practice build on the FAZZ, The whole purpose of the build was to practice toying around with the Bandai's builder parts mix with kato parts, practice detailing and proportion extension. As expected, the kit was in poor condition but 80% of the kit are intact, some broken parts and some missing. Some missing and broken parts Some dirt accumulated throughout the years. The FAZZ surface are so huge, which is like a big canvas to play with. The build started with the Head, some detailing on the forehead cannon, the side vent I swap it with a AG age 2 chest vent, looks nicer with a smaller side vent Added a Gunpla builder parts inside the forehead cannon, Cut some panel lines on the back head vents Neck detailing with pla plates, tubes, kato and builder parts. I swap the shoulder air vent with some spare parts from the ZZ core fighter The neck area need to chop away a bit to make space for more neck flexibility Neck extended with 1mm pla-plate Neck flex test. Upper body detailing WIP Test fit with head

I've always been intimidated by the FAZZ. As you said, lots of big surfaces I know I wouldn't be able to resist filling up! Its kinda like The-O... Gotta do something with it, its too inviting to resist. It'd be most excellent to see your take on the FAZZ!
Also, RM75? What a steal! Great bargain, looking forward to see what you do with the rest of all that plastic.

Now working on the proportion extension, start off with the leg high, using the transformation advantage, the leg shaft was extended 1.3cm from it's original high. Cutting away the peg enable leg shaft to extent. leg shaft extended. The upper leg extended 0.6cm. Comparison between the newly extended leg with the original The leg skirt was also extended around 0.8cm. Moving up the the hip extension, using a nail and some pla-plate as a back-bone, around 0.4mm extended Core block assembly The in-between core block with added pla-plates. The extended core block also need to extent the back pack lock to the upper body Armor skirt extended around 0.5cm. Extent the arm around 0.5cm. Now a longer and slimmer FAZZ.
